Wesley Schultz

For the last 6 years, I have been serving as a Security Forces member in the USAF, primarily as a K9 handler. As I transitioned out of the Air Force, I was encouraged to look into cybersecurity given that I had a physical security background. Growing up, I was never a computer geek or a gamer and before I became a Fellow, I had very limited experience and knowledge about information technology. I had no clue how crucial physical security was to the cybersecurity framework but the IT/Cyber Fundamentals Course helped me bridge that gap and gain a foundational understanding of information technology. I look forward to progressing in my IT career and I encourage people who think that IT may not be for them just because they've "never been good with computers" to look into all the avenues that are offered before they say no to this career.
