Tony Loukota brings military-grade cyber expertise to Forge Institute’s Academy
Forge Institute, a leader in cyber workforce development and other cyberdefense related services, today named U.S. Marine Corps veteran Tony Loukota as Training Manager. Loukota has previously served as a cyber instructor for Forge Institute and was recruited through the Forge Fellowship program.
“Seeing him in action as an instructor made it clear to us that we needed Tony in a leadership role to further develop and scale our Academy,” said Scott Anderson, Executive Director for Forge Institute. “Practical, real-world cyber experience is essential to Forge Institute’s training model. Tony delivers military-grade experience that elevates our organization across the board.”
Loukota joined the Forge Fellowship program in February of 2022, and after his successful completion, he became Forge’s first full-time instructor and curriculum developer. Prior to joining Forge Institute, Tony enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Tactical Data Systems Administrator, where he developed skills in incident response, software and server administration, cyber security, team leadership, and IT project management. During his nine years of service, Tony trained with the 1st Marine Division, 3rd and 4th Marine Aircraft Wings, Air Force Special Operations Command, and was a full-time staff member at the Marine Corps Communications-Electronics School (MCCES).
Throughout his military career, Tony served in a variety of roles including Aviation Command and Control Systems Crew Chief, Marine Forces Reserves Inspector and Instructor, Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of training, Chief Information Systems Coordinator, Classified Material and Key Management Infrastructure Custodian, and Public Key Infrastructure Trusted Agent.
“Raising Arkansas’ profile in the cyber and IT community is important to me,” said Loukota, who is a native of the Natural State. “We have a tremendous opportunity to lead the nation in all things cyber, and I’m honored to continue my service to the nation through Forge Institute's Academy.”
Loukota’s newest role enables him to continue to serve and protect the Nation by lending his leadership, experience and specialized skills to the next generation of cyber defenders.
